|Maser, 2020 October 26th – The 103rd edition of the Giro d’Italia ended yesterday in Milan and was celebrated with an impressive award ceremony in front of the Duomo in Milan. The Sidi athletes finished three intense weeks of cycling with an undoubtable level of satisfaction. Arnaud Demare proved himself to be the king of the sprints and was titled with the highly coveted cyclamen jersey while Ruben Guerreiro wore blue, dominating the climbers’ ranking.
Demare, who also adds four stage victories to his palmares, said: “This jersey has a very important meaning for me and I wanted it with all my strength. Since last year I promised myself I’d come back to Italy to win it and now this feeling is priceless. It was a beautiful Giro d’Italia and I have no words to describe how fantastic my teammates have been” The French sprinter also focused on the performance of the Sidi Wire 2, the shoes he wore during the 3-week Italian stage-race: “I feel very comfortable with these shoes, they are perfect for both endurance and wearability. The outsole is ideal for sprinting because it maximizes the solidity of the shoe and at the same time it transfers the power exactly in the way you expect it.”
Ruben Guerreiro, who chose the Sidi Shot to attack the GPMs, also explained: “The Italian technology of Sidi is always guaranteed and the races and training confirmed it. My Shot performed very well in action and I was able to count on its safety and reliability. ” Reflecting on this result, he concluded: “Having won the blue jersey gives me great motivation for the future. It was a very tiring Giro but these three weeks in Italy were wonderful.”
