We are delighted to announce that we will be partnering with the Giro d’Italia for this edition and for the next three years. This partnership will rekindle fans’ long-standing love for the company that has been going strong since the early 1950s. “It is with great pride and a touch of emotion that we are announcing this partnership with the Giro d’Italia today, a partnership that embodies a newfound love after 50 long years,” commented Enrico Bracesco, General Manager of Gruppo Cimbali. “This choice was certainly linked to Faema’s historical ties with the cycling world, but it was also made to illustrate the evolution of an extraordinary brand that is always in step with the times, innovative and cutting-edge, offering consumers all over the world a unique coffee experience.” The presentation and official signing of the partnership was held today at our MUMAC museum, attended by Enrico Bracesco, General Manager of Gruppo Cimbali, Maurizio Cimbali, President of Gruppo Cimbali, Mauro Vegni, Director of Giro d’Italia, and several members of the historic Faema team, including Marino Vigna, Vittorio Adorni and Italo Ziloli, former professional racers who competed in the Giro. During the presentation, guests had an opportunity to take pictures of the 2022 Pink Jersey and the legendary Giro d’Italia Endless Trophy, which has always been a symbol of passion for cycling. To celebrate the partnership, the mini-exhibition “Amore senza fine: FAEMA per il ciclismo” (“Endless love: FAEMA for cycling”) has also been set up at MUMAC, featuring objects, historical documents and unpublished material of inestimable value, including the first pink jersey in history won by former Faema champion Learco Guerra, as well as a jersey and a vintage bicycle that belonged to Eddy Merckx, kindly donated by the Ghisallo Museum, with which MUMAC has had a historic partnership for several years. This exhibition will be open to the public from 15 to 30 May 2022. Come and visit our stand at the Open Village in all the stages at the start and final finish in Verona. The three espresso machines that represent Faema today – the iconic E61, the Faema President and the latest arrival, Faemina – will be on show: all cycling and Faema lovers will be able to enjoy an excellent coffee. Don’t miss the limited edition versions of Faema President GTI and E61 and, exclusively for the last stop in Verona, also the customised Pink-Giro Faemina. The MUMAC Academy will also be present with its own trainers and coffee specialists at the stages listed below to illustrate the real Faema coffee experience. Each village, thanks to the collaboration with Technogym, will have a Technogym Ride, the new bike designed by and for cyclists connected to the Faema Club on Strava the ZWIFT application, which creates a road course simulator. All those who want to ride inside the stand will be helping us to support the non-profit organization World Bicycle Relief, which specializes in bicycle distribution programs to help reduce poverty in areas that lack even the most basic transportation. A financial donation will be made based on the number of kilometres covered: the more you pedal, the more you contribute to the cause. During the Giro d’Italia Faema will land on Strava, the app that brings together a community of athletes and cyclists.
